Estanislao “Junis” Villaraza Alim III is serving his third term as City Councilor of the 1st District of Mandaluyong City.
He is the son of Edna S. Villaraza and Estanislao M. Alim II, from Donsol, Sorsogon. He is married to Joyce Jaucian-Alim and a father of three. He finished his degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Marketing at Colegio de San Juan de Letran.
Before his election in 2019 as a City Councilor, he was elected as Barangay Councilor in Barangay Addition Hills from 2013 up to 2019. He is the founding Chairman of Iribahan Kan Mga Bicolano sa Mandaluyong created in 2015 and formalized in the year 2016 which conducts community services within the city. Currently, he is serving as a Board Member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles Philippine Eagles- a fraternal socio-civic organization in our country, also he served as President of Rotary Club of Mandaluyong North (District 3800) and awarded as an Outstanding President for Rotary Year 2022-2023. Also, a businessman with years of experience in residential and building construction with hardware and construction supply here in Mandaluyong City.
As a member of the 11th and 12th City Council, he was able to legislate more than 271 Resolutions and 126 Ordinances. Among his projects and programs from 2019-2022, are Turnover of Fire Extinguisher and Fire Disaster Preparedness Orientation, Peace and Conflict Resolution Seminar, Free Eye Check Up (Cataract Operation), Wheelchair Distribution, Nebulizer Kit, Blood Pressure Kit, Kariton Pangkabuhayan, Beauty Caravan, among others.
Currently in the 13th City Council, he still serves as Chairperson of Committee on Peace and Order, Public Safety, Fire Protection, and Dangerous Drugs; Vice Chairperson of Committee on Barangay Affairs; Member of Committees on Labor, Employment and Manpower Development, Games and Amusement, Environmental Protection & Disaster Preparedness, Transportation, Traffic Management, Communications & Tricycle Franchising Board, and Ways and Means.
